If you didn’t know, we’ve been around for over 100 years, based in Winchester throughout, but our customers are both national and global.
Over the past couple of years, the team has almost doubled in size. Our reputation, experience and knowledge have enabled us to take on new work and projects. We now need to expand our team again.
We are looking for a person with the right attitude and abilities. Who will help to drive forward new projects, ideas and methods, but have the flexibility to consider and work with our team and clients.
This person would probably see themselves as a Sales Engineer, would already be working in that role, or something similar right now.
Our expectations
We need you to be a good fit with the rest of the team. This would be influenced by having experience and knowledge of our type of clients and the solutions we provide.
You need to understand our industry, AV installation and integration. We hope that you have worked in both the corporate and public sector. Being best known for our work in societies & scientific bodies and across a range of Houses of Worship, it is vital to maintain and develop these two sectors. Our clients include Westminster Abbey, Royal Society and St. Georges Chapel at Windsor Castle. We need you to appreciate both the historic nature and importance of these buildings and the careful attention they need.
We expect you to consider the venue environment, and the most effective way to deliver the high-quality AV solution that all our clients expect and require.
Our clients are based across the UK, with approximately half based in London. You will need to be able to complete site visits, and attend during installations as and when required.
Your experience
Most importantly, we need you to be able to communicate with our clients and our team; and of course, design and quote systems to be installed, including all technical specifications, procuring and dealing with suppliers.
We’d also like you to have an understanding of the following;
- Installation and integration of Audio Visual equipment in various types of sites
- Managing installations and customer expectations
- Rack building and wiring
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Training with specific manufacturers and suppliers as and when required, including attending shows and live events
- Technical understanding of Crestron/AMX
What else do you need to know?
You need to have a full driving licence. You will probably need to drive one of our vans within the UK. Plus, we would expect you to have a passport so you can travel as needed.
Due to the sensitive nature of some of the buildings we work in, and our clients, you may have to be checked for DBS or other similar government checks.
The position is a full-time role, and you’ll be based in Winchester at our office.
If you’d like to know more about a specific item in our job specification, please email us, plus, send us your CV and what you think you would bring to the role, and we will be in touch soon.
