Painted Hall, Old Royal Naval College, London
The new audio-visual experience at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich is the result of an AV installation by Whitwam AVI consisting of a discreet touch screen-controlled speech and music sound system, along with fixed and radio microphones, recording and replay equipment in the Sir James Thornhill-designed Painted Hall with its 40,000 square feet of walls and ceilings covered in striking images of kings and queens.
High definition remote controlled pan-tilt-zoom cameras are installed in the Painted Hall and also the Upper Hall. In the Undercroft, we installed a discreet touch screen-controlled speech and music sound system with fixed and radio microphones.
