The Anvil, Basingstoke
One of the largest performing arts organisations in Hampshire, Anvil Arts operates three cultural centres including Basingstoke's 1,400-seat The Anvil, a world-class concert hall for which Whitwam designed, supplied and installed infrared and wi-fi based induction loop hard of hearing systems for the main auditorium.
The backstage paging and show relay system was upgraded and included loudspeakers, DSP control and amplification, and now also integrates the existing front of house paging loudspeakers. We also installed an HD stage camera relay to the stage manager’s desk and to the Forge studio theatre, which is located within The Anvil and is used for VIP receptions and smaller meetings.
