Winchester College Chapel
Whitwam AVI has installed a new speech and music system at Winchester College Chapel, founded in 1382 and claiming the longest continuous history of any English school.
The audio system consists of high level miniature loudspeakers covering the Nave and Quire with cabinet speakers installed in the balcony. A sub bass speaker is provided to enhance music reproduction. All loudspeakers are time aligned. Connectivity is provided for the Pulpit and choir stalls wired microphones, and a selection of digital radio microphones is additionally available. A touch screen located at the rear of the chapel provides simple control of the audio system including loudspeaker zone selection, microphone on/off switching, compact flash recorder, music microphone control and volume. The Nave is fitted with an induction loop.
